Welcome to my portfolio once again! I'm Hannah Odua Odai, a dedicated Nursing Healthcare Assistant committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients. My journey in healthcare began at Tema Senior High School in Ghana, where I excelled in the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from 2010 to 2013.

Following my secondary education, I pursued a Diploma in General Nursing at the esteemed University of Ghana, Legon, from 2015 to 2018. During this time, I developed a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, preparing me for a career dedicated to patient-centered care and professional excellence.

I am currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana since March 2019, ensuring that I meet the professional standards and requirements for practicing as a healthcare professional.

In August 2023, I successfully passed the IELTS Academic exam with an overall band score of 7.5 (8.5 in listening, 8.0 in reading, 6.5 in in writing, and 7.5 in speaking.) I am committed to ongoing learning and development to enhance my capabilities as a healthcare professional.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in diverse healthcare settings, including the Ghana Health Service in Atieku, where I currently serve as a Staff Nurse. In this role, I administer medication with meticulous attention to detail, deliver exceptional care to improve patient health outcomes, and educate patients on preventive health practices.

Prior to this, I worked at Rabito Clinic in Accra in March 2020, where I provided support to patients in urgent or emergency situations, maintained accurate patient records, and offered compassionate emotional support to patients and their families.

During my national service at Asamankese Government Hospital in 2019, I established caring and compassionate relationships with patients, assisted in implementing updated treatment plans, and administered medication under supervision, contributing to the continuity of care for patients.

My dedication to excellence extends beyond my professional experiences. I am committed to personal and professional development, continuously seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in healthcare. I believe in the importance of staying abreast of the latest advancements in healthcare to deliver the highest quality care to my patients.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about community health and have volunteered my time and expertise to educate and support local communities in promoting health and well-being.

I have also completed various courses on Florence Academy, earning 27 certificates in total. These include the Pathway to Care Collection, Care Essentials Collection, and Understanding Mental Health and Wellbeing in Care Collection. These courses have further enriched my knowledge and skills, allowing me to provide comprehensive and holistic care to my patients.
